Hotel Castellar is situated in a privileged location at the foothills of the Parque Natural de Los Alcornocales, just 10 a minute drive from Sotogrande and San Roque in the province of Cádiz, southern Spain. Hotel Castellar was designed by the studio of Thomas Urquijo and inspired by a rural finca or traditional farmhouse. The design combines the best of traditional Andalucian style and architecture with great, up to the minute facilities.

The range of a la carte activities offered by Hotel Castellar is many and varied, from mycological routes or mountain bike routes, to hiking, 4x4 trails, giant bluefin tuna fishing and paintballing. In particular, the hotel is perfect for challenging but fun outdoor team building exercises.

GASTRONOMY
With menus influenced by Andalucian and European cuisine, we understand that our customers demand the best. What sets us apart and is a primary ethos in our kitchen, is the meticulous selection of locally grown products.

In our recipes you will find hand-crafted olive oils, highly coveted fresh tuna from Barbate or the incredible fruit and vegetables from Castellar de la Frontera growers whose farms literally surround the hotel:

Avocados, seasonal mushrooms and the freshest fruit are all on our doorstep. Taste orange juice straight from the tree – it could not be any fresher!

And when our local environment cannot provide the produce we are looking for, we trust top-quality sources such as ‘Las Coruñesas’ for fish from the north and ‘Cárnicas Sáenz de Vitoria’ for its mouth-watering meats - some of the very best from the Iberian Peninsula.
